genting skyworlds theme park

assalamualaikum and hi! :)

a throwback entry of our genting trip on 12-13 nov 2023 (deepavali public holiday).

if you know us, we love to go to genting.. lolx.
may be cuz it's close to KL, surrounded by nature, cozy, breezy, has good food and good entertainment (minus the gambling la, as muslims we don't gamble).

we stayed at SCAPES hotel, genting highlands.
we'd stay here before, the price is ok and it's in genting permai, easy to find food. haha

this time, we took cable car to skyworlds genting theme park (outdoor).

we parked at genting premium outlet (GPO) and took skyway cable car from there (skypark).

in the cable car / gondola.. which costed RM10 per person, one way.

this isz, my husband and ariana, our 1st daughter :D

me and our second, anaqi.

so here's the skyAvenue complex.
the cable car station is in this complex, top floor.

hustle and bustle of skyAvenue.

so we walked from there to the themepark (skyworlds) entrance.
tickets were bought online using klook, on sale. so i got sale price, which were quite cheap compared to the actual price.
but online tixs need to be purchased a day before going in.

us, at night at the museum : midnight mayhem.

basically it's an interactive car ride theme.
and you need to use your utmost arm energies to work on the shooting thingy. haha

family photo moment at central park, being 'photo-bombed' by tresspassers đŸ˜‚

we're just using the tiny tripod for this.

if you opt for a more proper photographer on site,
you can pay extra (i think RM179 instead of RM151) per ticket.
they can took your photo for you and then all photos will be in the app for you to view.

us at liberty lane. yes, skyworlds theme park is divided into a few themed areas. like this!

an attempt to ride on bigweld's zappelins at robot rivet town.
suddenly they made announcement, saying that there's a technical issue and we couldn't ride on it until they solve it.

so yeah, just photo without the ride. lolx

this is my personal (may be four of us) favourite; independence day: defiance ride at central park.
i'll tell you in next line, why i love this ride so much. basically it looks futuristic.

the queue!
and this queue already divided into walk ins and virtual queues like us.

fyi, each person will get 3 virtual queues. in the skyworld app.
with VQ, we only set appointment to go to our chosen attraction.
say at 11.00 am, i set my appointment time to go to A ride.
so we don't need to queue for half an hour like the walk ins.
since there are only 3 VQs, we need to use it wisely.

we're using the VQs on rides that we never tried before.
like this independence day ride and the roller coaster.

oh! if you want to go to the boot camp (there's zipline and stuff),
you need to use VQ. they don't accept walk ins.

this time, we skipped boot camp because we already tried it on our previous visit.

still queueing, but shorter queue for us, using the VQ.

the best part; we're in a 'space ship', ready to explore.

independence day ride is actually a VR ride on a giant curved screen!
it almost looks real, as the screen is surrounding us. actually we repeated this ride again that day (the 2nd one was walk in.. quite tiring to queue, but no problemo)

racing to your heart at eagle mountain HAHA
mad ramp peak ride (motorcycle tracks) is not yet opened and will be skyworlds' future attraction.

kiddos wanted it too :P

another family photo at skyworlds fountain.

yeah, we're just doing our things. lolx

*hearts*

at sid's rock 'n' slide at ice age.

the ride is not really a thrill ride, so little kids can ride on this.
it's like a big swing going back and forth for 5 minutes, hihi

hungry, we bought tacos and fried chickin.

blue sky carousel at rio.

the ride was relaxing and only took a few minutes.

more photos. haha

this photo was shot after we took the acorn adventure's roller coaster ride at ice age.
quite scary but not too extreme for a roller coaster.
kids can defo ride on this, but they'll be scared a bit.. like anaqi over there.. hihi.

if you're in the epic voyage to moonhaven ride at epic, you need to bring a raincoat.
i just bought all these at mr DIY.. it costed around RM2 or 3.
but if you didn't bring any, get ready to get wet, or you can buy it at RM15 at skyworlds' souvenir shops.

such an adventure on a boat.

look how everyone's being splased by water HAHA
(the boat will plummet down the river at the end of the ride, so get ready)

all wet. my shoes too!

the end of our splashy ride. we threw out the raincoat afterwards.
there's a big thrash bin for that, after the ride.

just a random photo of everyone.

beautiful view at epic. that fantasy world vibe.

riding on this epic hummingbird flyers at epic.
this ride has a biiittt of water splashing. just a bit. so no need to wear raincoats.

ariana and her babah.

this was how we looked like, when we repeat the independence day ride. hahaha

got a gift voucher for answering surveys, but we didn't use it.
cuz it can't be used on promotional items, and most of merchs are super expensive.

took the cable car back to GPO. super tiring at this hour.
actually we had to queue for quite a while with thousands of people in a zig-zag way to get in the cable car. almost an hour, i guess??

went to restoran makanan enak right afterwards.
our fave chinese muslim restaurant. yes the dishes are quite pricy (genting price, what dya expect), around RM25 and above per plate, but it's worth it. everything is super delicious, insyaAllah.
this is kam heong beef, if i'm not mistaken.

at restoran makanan enak (to translate, it would be the 'delicious food restaurant')

too tired to care and to eat đŸ˜‚

just with these three plates, we're full.
all these costed around RM75, i think.
the kam heong beef, marmite chicken and deep fried long beans. with hot, white rice.

i think that's all about our throwback on genting trip this year.
may be if we have another chance, we can repeat the trip next year, insyaAllah.

till then!

be safe and keep safe! (covid is back). toodles!

trip ke melaka - day 2 & 3

assalamualaikum and hi! :)

sebelum kemalasan menguasai diri, eloklah sy update kisah holiday melaka laju-laju.
nanti tau-tau dah masuk tahun 2024.. tak berupdate-update lagi HAHAA

on the 2nd day of our melaka trip..., ecewah skipping đŸ˜‚

..hari kedua kita cari kuih-kuih kampung.
husband teringin nak makan kuih.
so google la.. jumpa 2 lokasi; jalan ujong pasir dan semabok.

kuih pun 3 deret ni.. tak banyak sangat. tapi bolehlah buat alas tekak. haha

harga boleh tahan. mahal seposen daripada harga pasaran. hahaa

kat sebelah tu ada kedai asam pedas apak.

kalau nak ke perhentian kuih kampong kat jalan ujong pasir ni,
kat google tak jumpa. so boleh la tag kedai asam pedas ni.

lauk-pauk asam podeh yang ada. tapi kami tak makan asam pedas hari tu.
so tak dapat nak rate.

basically ni yang diambik.

my mi goreng. rasa biasa aje. so-so.

kuih pun ambik sikit-sikit buat rasa-rasa.

ada jugak meja jual goreng-gorengan. so ambik kepok lekor and cempedak goreng.
sadly cempedaknya macam dah lama dan dipanaskan balik.

overall sy tak berpuas hati dengan makanan kat sini. hahaa
tapi ni selera sy je. selera orang lain mungkin lain. so kena singgah dan rasa sendiri.

petangnya pulak kitorang ke restoran legend kat melaka; restoran kenanga.

restoran ni pagi ada jual breakfast. hujung petang ada jual masakan panas yang simple dan legend (rasa seperti masakan home made) macam nasi goreng, mi goreng, sup.

time kitorang datang ni, dekat-dekat pukul 6 petang. tak ada orang lagi.
baru-baru bukak untuk slot dinner.

sup daging. sedap! home made-ish.

datang pun semata-mata nak makan nasi goreng legend ni.
yang masak pun orang lama.

yang ni nasi goreng spicy (tapi tak pedas sangat. ok)

nasi goreng tak spicy.

nasi goreng dia, bahan-bahan simple je.
tapi rasa.. fuhh, marvellous.

nampak tu, licin makan. haha

service wise, ok je laju.
mungkin sebab time tu kitorang yang 1st dan kitorang je kat kedai haha.
dari segi friendliness, don't expect much.
mungkin keturunan pahlawan memang gitu. hihii

menu gorengan tak banyak, tapi insyaAllah sedap. harga pun ok.

lepas tu balik hotel, lepak-lepak, tido.

esoknya dah hari sabtu. day 3.

pemandangan dari tingkap bilik hotel.

disebabkan sy pilih hotel ni (99 greysuites di dalam pine hotel melaka) sebab nak berenang,
maka pagi tu sy pun pergilah berenang.

anaqi main kat kids pool.

the AAs.

lepas puas hati mandi-manda kat kolam air masin,
kitorang balik semula bilik otel. menunggu masa untuk check out.

wifi ok, laju.

tv ada 19 channels.

hotel ni go green, so sabun-sabunan semua di dalam bekas dispenser macam ni.

gambar selingan.

overall kalau tentang bilik, sy berpuas hati.

check out ok je, cuma pulangan deposit RM100 tu akan mengambil masa 5-7 hari bekerja.

balik tu singgah ayer keroh.
kali ni husband nak makan kat asam pedas nek jarah, melaka.

basically ni yang kitorang makan.

suasana kedai.

asam pedas dihidangkan di dalam claypot. ni yang order punya.
yang buffet pun ada. senduk sendiri. haha

sejujurnya, sy tak pandai nak rate asam pedas melakau ni.

lagi besar, lagi banyak lauk wehh. next time boleh la singgah. orang pun ramai.
so singgah beli kuih keria je. keria dia sedapp.

lepas tu kitorang pun baliklah terus ke rumah. haha
sekian kisah percutian kitorang di melaka. ahaks.
