the beautiful ramadan

assalamualaikum and hi! :)

it's 28th of ramadan.
and how's everyone?
i hope we would embrace every day with the best of amal.

since CMCO being regulated,
i think it is the best time for us to have quite a fruitful moments to perform and enhance our ibadah, insyaAllah.
i mean, we already #WFH (work from home) most of the time.
it should not be a hassle to wake up at night for qiam, since we save a lot of energy in broad daylight, not going out anywhere.
plus, we save a lot of money (at least from the petrol. or the moratorium.). we can use the extra money for sedekah.
hence, take this once in a lifetime chance to perform ibadah to the fullest (read: the utmost sincere).

ramadan would always be a special month for me.
the atmosphere is totally different than any other months.
it's a bit sunny at first, then become cloudy and soothing in the end.

this year, i don't get the chance to fully fasting at the beginning and the end of the month.
but alhamdulillah i managed to finished khatam the al-Quran, exactly one day before the mensy cycle.
23rd ramadan, 10.23am to be exact. the same date my abah's passing date. al-Fatihah to him.
it was funny, because i started a bit late, i think a week after ramadan.
i would like to chronicle it here to be a reminder to myself in the future.
this year, at first, i didn't have any intention to recite the whole al-Quran this holy month.
i just thought of doing my daily al-Quran routine like usual.

then suddenly one day,
i watched this as-seen-on-tv shopping channel.. lolx.
they sell a set of Al-Quran i think.
and this ustaz started to explain about how people are racing to finish or khatam their al-Quran on ramadan.
he said, if we look at overseas; like in saudi, everyone takes the opportunity to recite al-Quran anywhere, everywhere on their free time. be it on a train, while waiting for the bus, etc.
then i heard of how imam syafie khatam a lot in ramadan.
then it just hit me.
why i didn't start my ramadan reciting?
later, i just started on the first surah and racing myself to catch up.
since people are reciting 1 juz per day, and i'm already left out, i tried my best.
there's a day when i managed to finished 2 to 3 juz, alhamdulillah.
(of course, not that close at all if we compared to imam syafie, reciting a lot in a day.)
i also worried if i cannot finish it by the time my mensy cycle arrives.
but alhamdulillah, i managed to finish. i am very grateful and thankful to Allah for making this happen ^^

may everyone learn and gain something on this beautiful ramadan.
may Allah forgive our sins and grant us his rahmat and love.

of course it's a bit sad, knowing that ramadan will come to its end.
but i'm thankful enough that i managed to meet ramadan this year.
and hope we all have another chance to meet ramadan next year, insyaAllah.

have a blissful ramadan, everyone :')
